Movement 01 / Watch and respond

A movement will not tell you it has stopped. Someone has to look.

Watching is not a screen you glance at between customers. It is an agent forming a view of whatever a program has got itself into, a layer that weighs that view against everything else moving in your estate, and a named person who decides what happens while your door is still locked. Every line on this sheet carries all three.

What the agent is really reading

Naming known bad things stopped being sufficient years ago. What this agent assembles is a picture of conduct on the machine itself: what started, what opened, what got dialled, and whether the whole thing resembles encrypting, hoarding, or a stranger moving quietly through the building. It keeps judging with the wire out, which matters for a laptop away at a trade show and for the box in the stockroom nobody signs into.

Fluency lays agent reports beside the rest: sign ins and their countries, post arriving, traffic over the wire, and logs from tools the business already pays for. An alert that reaches the bench with its circumstances already gathered can be acted upon. There sits the difference between being told about something and being helped with it.

An alert stripped of its circumstances is a chore. An alert wearing them is help.

Picking a depth

Depth one sorts and advises. Depth two widens the field of view, so an improbable login in one country and an unfamiliar program on a till elsewhere stop being two shrugs filed a day apart. Depth three may act unaccompanied, and that earns its money when trouble starts on a Saturday with nobody due back before Tuesday.

Cluster nodes get lines to themselves. A node has nothing whatever in common with a laptop, an agent sits on it differently, and rolling either into the other leaves the invoice quietly untrue. Reckon nodes. Never reckon pods.

Lines on this movement

The lines in full, with what each one costs

Every figure below leaves billing at the moment this page opens. Anything laid on the service card sits waiting there while you carry on reading.

One word in the tables below needs pinning down. Certified by names the person who did the work and put their name beside it, which is how a watchmaker certifies a service. It carries no claim that Fortify 24x7 holds a security certification, and buying a line confers none on your business either.

Managed Detection and Response

SentinelOne under the loupe, Fluency holding the evidence together

Conviction comes from conduct, never from a name on a list. The agent establishes what a program has got itself into, and a named engineer at the bench turns that into an instruction. You are handed a call with its working shown, never a chart to puzzle over.

  • Rides Windows, macOS and Linux alike, still judging with the wire pulled.
  • Sorting, digging and escalation belong to the bench, whatever the clock says.
  • The whole trail of a case stays readable to you long after it closes.

Extended Detection Across Layers

SentinelOne broadened through Fluency across logins, post and wire

Identical agent, broader field of view. A login out of a country nobody visits, plus an unfamiliar program on a till, stop being two shrugs filed separately and become a single case with a shape you can read.

  • Hardware evidence read against login trails, post trails and wire traffic.
  • Finds patterns that no lone agent could ever assemble on its own material.
  • Holds a deeper archive, because a good number of cases only settle in hindsight.

Extended Detection with Response

SentinelOne with the stop lever left engaged

The broad tier, permitted to act. Cross a threshold set with us and the machine leaves the wire, then winds back to where it stood, with an engineer still reading as it happens. On a till, a payroll desk or the laptop that signs releases, minutes are money.

  • Off the wire without waiting, the moment a verdict is firm enough to stand.
  • Whatever a convicted program rewrote is put back, where the system permits it.
  • Automatic steps are never left unread. Each gets reviewed and written up.

Managed Detection, Kubernetes Node

SentinelOne, reading container work as it runs

Cover for containerised work, reckoned by node, so the billed figure equals whatever number your platform team already carries about. Reckon nodes. Never reckon pods.

  • An agent at node level, taking in whatever gets scheduled there.
  • The identical bench, the identical sorting, the identical trail as the hardware lines.
  • Judges conduct while work is running, not merely the image before it ships.

Extended Detection, Kubernetes Node

SentinelOne on nodes, threaded into the estate by Fluency

Node cover with the wider field of view turned on, so cluster behaviour is weighed against login trails and hardware evidence rather than being marooned on its own.

  • Node material woven into everything else you run, inside Fluency.
  • Cases that run all the way from a workload back to whoever reached it.
  • A deeper archive held over cluster and hardware material at the same time.

Response Tier, Kubernetes Node

SentinelOne, willing to stop a workload without asking first

Node cover with the stop lever engaged, for clusters carrying work you would rather not leave running wrong until somebody unlocks the office again.

  • A workload past the agreed threshold is stopped without waiting for a person.
  • The case is built across cluster, login and hardware material together.
  • Somebody reviews each automatic step afterwards and posts the write up to you.

Where this movement stops

Each of the six sheets carries a block like this one. It is the section most suppliers quietly omit, and it is the section that settles whether you feel let down in a year.

  • Watching is a control, never a promise. An agent spotting an intrusion is reporting something already under way. Speed of answer is the article for sale. Nowhere on earth is a promise sold that nothing will ever start, and we do not sell one either.
  • Hardware off the bench yields nothing. Hardware that never enrols throws off nothing, appears in no case, and answers to no line on this sheet. That includes the laptop somebody keeps for weekends.
  • Winding back is not a spare. Depth three undoes what a convicted program rewrote, on systems that permit it. What it cannot do is conjure a dead disk or last quarter copy of a document. Those sit on the second movement sheet and cost extra.
  • Cluster lines reach the nodes only. Cluster design, role bindings, the keeping of secrets, and whatever your admission policy will tolerate all stay in your hands. A view is available on request. Ownership is not.
  • What you build is not what we read. Software your own team wrote can hold a flaw that no agent on the host will ever see. Testing an application, and reading through its source, are separate trades practised by other people. Naming them beats letting you assume.
